I would love to hear the reactions of UFC fighter when the players scream in agony over allegedly getting kicked in the shin WITH shin guards on. Sickening.

With all the attention focused on World Cup games, I've heard precious little about baseball of late, and it's All-Star Game time.

Sometime during when my son was playing youth soccer, a story circulated about a local pre school or kindergarten game that was played next to a playground with jungle gyms. Seems one of the players saw the playground equipment and went over and started playing on it while a game was going on. Soon all the players left the game and were playing on the playground equipment.

That never happened with ice hockey.

Well now that the seemingly endless World Cup marketing is over, we can get ready for when the endless football crap starts again?

I wonder how much of it is truly liking the game and how much of it is putting $20 on the Cowboys?
