Here I am, complaining again. But only this forum is available.

I buy AirPods as a gift. The good ones, with noise cancellation and silicone ear canal fitments.

Now, I can be in the same room as my wife, speak to her, and she ignores me.

She cannot live without a daily dose of Dana, Jesse, Greg, Jeanine, and a sacrificial liberal. So, from 1700-1800 conversations are not permitted. I have no idea she is listening and talk for several minutes without a response.

Then I see the time, and figure it out. No conversation until The Five is over. Got it.

I am just not worth it.

I am ready for marriage counseling again.

That's an hour you can spend on your own pursuits, and know that you're not going to be interrupted either.

Clean a pistol, dink around in the garage, ogle new motorcycles online, or just have a nice beverage on the porch. That hour is your time, sir.

Heck, you can surf gun porn sites right in front of your wife and you won't hear a peep. BTW, my favorites are C&Rsenel, Hickock45, and TGS.

I did not have to shell out any money to be ignored.

We got my youngest noise canceling headphones for his birthday a week ago. Now all three of my kids have them. I came home a few days ago and my wife started complaining about the kids not listening to her, so I put my noise canceling headphones on and said, "What?”. I took them off immediately, and we laughed.

That's guaranteed an hour of peace a day! Sounds like money well spent. Now get yourself a set and do the same to her, that's 2 hours of peace a day!

Yep, Airpods are now on the gift list!
