Two Simplicity tractors, a 14hp gear drive and a 17hp hydro.

Two mowers, a 5' sickle and a midmount.

3 snow blowers, one tractor mounted, one walk behind, one corded POS that's basically an electric broom.

One old-enough-to-be-real Troybilt tiller.

One Honda-powered pressure washer.

About two feet of factory manuals for the Simplicity stuff.

Two boxes of spare parts and some other assorted - but related - junk.

250 mile round trip, $100 worth of gas (DAMN that F250 is thirsty!) and one day shot in the ass.

The plan is to get the hydro tractor running and mount the sicklebar on it. The whole plan was something to mow ditches with. I'll also keep the Troybilt. Everything else will get flipped or given to family.

(This from the guy I spent 2 weeks getting in touch with)

EDIT: After some preliminary research, BOTH have 16hp Briggs engines.

Most of it, yes. Going to try to get the better of the two tractors and the rototiller going in the next few days. Maybe the snowblower as it's coming up on prime time to market it.

As I suspected, the rototiller is a genuine Troy Bilt. It's a 1968 Horse 8hp. That's before MTD bought them out and cheapened them.

That'll be at the top of the project list. If it runs (and at a glance, I see no reason it shouldn't with a little love) I'll clean it up, fix whatever and keep it as part of my stash. I had an MTD-Bilt Pony years ago and foolishly sold it.

Tiller is a 1968 Model Troy Bilt Horse. Back when they were built to last. Carb mount broken, probably did that myself loading, unloading or traveling. Carb on order. Governor linkage all bent to crap, I'll sort that out when the carb arrives. Assuming it runs and operates, I'll keep it.

Had a PW from Sams Club for many years with that Honda engine, one day the wife was cleaning the pool deck and pulled it right into the pool, while running.

Imagine, having your spouse tell you she needs help with the pressure washer, it's in the pool and then having to keep your face straight from laughing and being mad about it.

Pulled it out, and took to the garage, pulled the plug out, cranked the rope and of course a bit of water came out, changed the oil, twice, cleaned out the carb and that thing ran another 5 years until the pump gave out.

There are replacement pumps out there for them, it's a bolt on affair and you can bump up the pressure level it will run as well.

Like you said the engine is the valuable part but the whole thing is salvageable, sold mine for $50, pump not working and bought new though.

Have a bigger pressure washer, essentially brand new. Don't need a second, doubt I could get my money back selling it with a new pump.

Engine runs good and will get stashed for future redneck projects. Only fly in that ointment is if it has a tapered shaft.
