I can't believe people are actually paying those kind of prices. There are many fruit/vegetable supplements on Amazon that provide the same thing for a fraction of that cost.

Apparently balance of nature cures almost every illness the old people that give the testimonials have.
It gives never ending stamina and energy, it cures vision problems, hearing loss, even hair loss!
It really is a super food!

And anything it leaves behind Relief Factor will wipe out.

If JOE PISCOPO says it is so, it is so!

But seriously. Freeze dry a fruit or vegetable into a powder and put the powder in a pill? And it's the same?

This requires 1960's space age ad copy to be effective.

It’s the power of advertising, a respected, known actor or sports hero helps.

I remember years ago reading an article about beer sales, the market share followed advertising numbers. At that time, Bud Lite & Miller Lite were high on the list. I’m not to much of a beer snob, but I can close my eyes in the beer cooler & come up with better choices.

I couldn't believe the ad I saw yesterday on TV for women's panty briefs. I can't remember exactly what it said but it did mention, and I quote, how they were for "blood, sweat, and pee" control. Yuck!

These ads irritate me with the obvious inconsistencies.
Balance of nature….in the ad the lady states it is impossible to eat all the “daily” veggies recommended. Well, maybe the recommendation is wrong, if it is physically impossible, maybe people were not meant to eat that much…hmmmm

Prevagin…..if it helps memory, then tell me exactly when you started taking it, not some rough number “ about 2 years ago”. Either it helps memory and you know the exact date or your guessing.

I am waiting for the ad that references this incident.

Prevagin helps your brain. It was discovered in jellyfish. Jellyfish have no brain ironically. All this crap is snake oil. CBD oil included.

There actually is at least one vitamin type supplement that works for a lot of people.

This one: https://www.preservision.com/
Check out the clinical studies. It's pretty impressive.

But does it...

I'm not saying supplements are always snake oil. Certainly there can be benefits if people are deficient in nutrients for some reason. But don't trust a lot of the statements made on supplements. They are not regulated as much as approved drugs. Not that I trust FDA with this Covid crap.

In the case of the fruit and vege pills they aren't even claiming a benefit. They claim it has a lot of dried fruit but no fiber. So what is the benefit, sugar?

If you read the clinical studies and believe them, it works. If not, it doesn't for you.

What I can tell you is that I am one of 3 people I know taking them whose macular degeneration is not progressing at all. My ophthalmologist highly recommends taking the Areds II formula in one form or another to stop the progression.

Clinical studies are not clinical trials. Here is an example of clinical trial for this stuff and the conclusions and trial criteria show that the trial was less than successful. If it’s helping you that is great. But buyer beware. There is a reason supplements put the statement about the not meant to treat disease.

Sadly, after the comments above regarding the powdered fruits and veggies, no SIG Forum member would likely admit to taking this supplement. It would have been helpful to hear some personal testimonies regarding the product. Unlikely now.

Testimony regarding what exactly? There are zero claims from the manufacturer of any benefit to taking this. They say it’s like eating fruit. So? If I take it should I report back that I feel like I had an apple? I just don’t get what the benefit is supposed to be.

They got smacked hard by the FDA back in 2019.

Here is the warning letter. I’d love to see the response which is a requirement. Any company that is issued a warning letter MUST provide a response to each and every statement and if found insufficient, the process continues.
