Gaggia... best machine out there.

Had mine since 2018 and estimate it has made over 20,000 shots of espresso. I average about 6 shots per day.

Works every time and makes a great cup. Yep you'll pay more but so worth it.

I still brew a cup of coffee every morning in this fashion, have been doing this for over 40 years:

I still use my old Filtropa filter holder from the 1980s. At one time, I used a glass one, but it cracked and went back to the old one. For a few years I also used a gold filter but went back to unbleached paper ones for convenience. We have a 12 cup Cuisinart coffee machine when we have guests over, but other than that, the only machines we regularly use are a grinder and hot water kettle. Haven't used my espresso machine in years.

My main coffee maker is my ancient Krups but the fall back if the power is out is my Chemex.

My 30 year old Melitta drip coffee maker. A friend gave it to me in the early 1990's and I use it daily.

The base is cracked and if I overfill it some grounds get into the coffee. I make it with a 1 1/2 quart sauce pan.

I bought my first Keurig and it lasted about three years and started leaking so I bought a new Keurig and it leaked as soon as I took it out of the box so I returned it to Walmart and got my money back. I ended up with a Cuisinart that costs much less than the Keurig but works just as good.

I got my Keurig replacement and so far it's working. However, I am prepared for the future. I have a box of paper filters in the pantry and a vacuum sealed bag of ground coffee in the freezer. Mister Coffee is on QRF standby in the attic.

My Moccamaster is also about 2 years old, but hasn’t been getting much use since I picked up a Moka Pot stovetop brewer a few months back.

I used to be a huge fan of Keurig, went through about 6 or 7 machines over the years (had one at home and one at work). Thankful for Costco’s return policy, they always refunded my money when one died and I used the money to get the next one.
