I also have stopped using them due to leaking. I have started going to Energizers and also Amazon rechargeable batteries in AA, and AAA.

I have had that happen once, to a 24-pack of Duracells that I bought at Wally World. That was the final straw and I haven't touched them again.

Returning them to Costco, even if you have a fraction of how many were there when you bought them, seems a resonable thing to me. If enough folks take them back, maybe positive change could be affected. I did that the last time I bought Duracells that leaked into the package, and recieved a full refund. (they were not expired of course)
