Just a minor gripe. Please, when you offer a karma and pick winner(s), update the thread title to indicate that winners have been chosen. I generally do not go back into karma threads once I have entered to "check if winners have been chosen". If the title has not been updated, I assume the karma is still open and running.

Rey HRHone of the things I do when I check SigForum is to do an advance search on my name in case someone wants to tell me something in response to a post.
If your name is called out in a karma, doing the search will also bring up that thread.

My link to Sigforum is the advanced search of my name spelled correctly and the most common mispelling. I missed a karma once because somebody mispelled my name and didn't e-mail. They selected someone else when I didn't respond in the post.

kkinaI've been updating the thread title since I started. I normally also send out an email if one is provided. Haven't missed a winner so far.
Even so I've had a couple instances of people entering a contest after it's been closed in the title. I suppose I could request a thread-locker, but if you're not even going to work that hard....

Jeff YarchinWorks both ways. I can't tell you how many Karma's I've sent out and I hear nothing from the recipient. I have to ask if they received it okay.

Why many Karma entry requirements ask for email in profile.
