There is a place local to me that has good pizza but the girl who answers the phone, I don't think she understands the orders. For example, I order a supreme/everything pizza and I explained to her this time, as she screwed my order prior, that I wanted all the toppings on the whole pizza but on half of the pizza, I want mushrooms added to the other toppings. I had to explain it like this to her because she screwed up the pizza I had ordered a couple weeks prior-twice. So I go in to pick it up and she hands me the box but it feels light. So I open it up and what is there, a plain cheese pizza with mushrooms on half of it. I told her I must have someone else's order as the ticket says 'supreme pizza with half mushroom'. She says they will have to remake it again the right way. How hard is it to take an order? The time prior I had one of the owner's make it, as one of them took my order and they understood exactly what I wanted. The reason I am ranting is because this shopping plaza is not easy to get into, only 1 way to get to it on the road/divided highway and I had other orders at other places to pick up and I get this one first, as it is the first place on my route. Rant off. | ||

They want you to have a delivery guy bring it to you so if the order is screwed up, who cares? And the driver you said would get a 15 percent tip that wants 30 percent will bring you your cold pizza in an hour. Or so I've heard. | |||

No, she technically only got the mushroom part correct:
My peeve is when I ask for topping on only half of the pizza, I get charged the same for just half the amount of topping. Either place what would have been on the whole pie all on one side, or charge 50% for half the amount. I love mushroom, so please place them all on "my side". It's gotten to a point where I just order as normal and migrate the toppings myself. "There! Now there are no mushrooms on your half!"  | |||

Exactly, if I’m paying full price. Double the pepperoni on one side. My kids like mushrooms, though not my favorite. So I get mushrooms on half. Most places proceed to cut it so I get an 1/8th without mushrooms. Like you, a small gripe but damn. 10 years to retirement! Just waiting! | |||

She took the order, wrote up the ticket correctly, and gave it to whoever makes the pizzas. Unless she was the making the pizzas as well, she did her part. | |||

Better way for her to write it and for the people making it should probably be "supreme pizza + mushrooms on 1/2 of pizza". The + would seem to make it logical that it's in addition to but people these days... _____________ | |||

Exactly and that is what I was told by one of the owners last time.I had to spell it out for them as he said some of the help is not that bright. The girl might have gotten it right/wrong, I am not sure but the time before, when the owner took my order and made the pizza, he opened the box and showed me the pizza prior to me leaving to make sure it was the correct pizza. The place has really good pizza but the order taker, cook/pizza maker, etc., is killing them. | |||
