The playback video quality is good. But sometimes I’ll pause playback. After a short while (5 min?), the player will go into power save mode and shut off. Fine, my DVD players 30 years ago would do that. But they would also pick up where you left off. This expensive, modern UHD bluray player? Starts the disk from scratch!!! Is this by intention for some reason? Or just idiot programmers of the modern age? Maybe this is okay if i can disable the screen saver power save mode. But no, can’t have that either. I spend most of the time searching for where i left off rather than actually watching the movie. "Wrong does not cease to be wrong because the majority share in it." Go into the machines setting menu and there should be an option for resume play or something similar. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. Thanks. Checked and couldn’t find anything. It’s reported on the webz as a known deficiency - no resume. For a feature that was present in SD DVD players in the beginning, how it could be absent now.
