I was on Boomer duty.
The day will come when you will understand what your parents are going through now, you will be living with the same problems they are dealing with now, and in the future.
Getting old is NOT for sissy's!

Give them a break.

My grandparents barely spoke English and my grandmother never learned to drive. My grandfather barely spoke and rode the L downtown to his job as a tailor. They were different but I do not recall ever making fun of them or their habits. I understood that various handicaps came with age.
