Then there's the peeps from Boston who go to the zoo and watch the bear while drinking a bear

That's a great example. I know plenty of educated people who say warsh, warshing machine, and Warshington. I have know idea where the 'r' came from.

My father, an educated man himself and otherwise a stickler about such things, has pronounced “Chicago” as “Chicargo” throughout my life. I need to ask (axe?) him about this.

I’ve had more than one coworker who pronounced the word “desk” such that it sounds more like “dest” or “desked.” I’ve always assumed it was just some minor, personal speech impediment.

Perhaps already mentioned here, a common one I notice is “supposofly” in place of either “supposedly” or perhaps “supposably” (with apologies to Joey from “Friends.”) Smile

People are going to be who they are,
It's not that I judge them as a lesser than me.

It's that it bugs me as much as it does.
Is it because I was born at the wrong time or taught be inferior parents?

And !

Wearing pajamas out in public,
( Shopping etc. )

That's another one.
