I have informed delivery, that is supposed to tell you what is coming to your mailbox. So I see that there is a letter from the county, not sure who in the county, but from the county on April 4, still don;t have it. On April 11 I see that I have something from the Tax office in the county, and from my Insurance.

I filed a complaint and was told that Informed Delivery, just shows what may come in the next 10 days and we can’t locate items without a tracking number, so you need to call whoever sent you mail and ask them to resend it.

I have packages they say they delivered, that they did not, and no there are no porch pirates out here in the middle of nowhere. My House is not visible from the road, and I can not see another house from here. I also get notifications saying they can’t deliver because they can’t get through a locked gate. I have no fucking gates.

I talked to the postmaster, only to be told sorry and BTW, we have not seen the truck that was supposed to deliver mail to us on the 11th yet.

WTF are these idiots doing with mail? It needs to be shut down and privatized, these idiots can’t find their asses with both hands.

Trouble here also. My son is in the military, sent off his passport a week ago, priority mail, Norfolk, VA.

It was supposed to be there Monday, last. As of this morning, Friday, it’s still going in circles in Richmond VA.

I’ll try more follow-up today, don’t expect much help.

Hopefully you have a tracking number. Ive been told since mine is standard mail, I should call the sender and have them resend it. A couple of them are from the county and about 50 offices use the same PO Box, WTF do they think, that Im going to spend days knocking on office doors or calling county offices to figure out who sent it.

Ordered a part for my zero turn mower. Expected to be delivered today--saw the tracking number update where it was out for delivery at 0930 this morning. At 0947, the USPS website said "delivery on hold at Post Office at customer request"

Excuse me? No. I did not pay to pick it up at the post office, but to deliver to my house.

Now, instead of taking care of what I planned to do this weekend, I have to wait until Monday to pick it up. WTF.

Even better. The post office was only open from 0900-1000 on Saturdays. I found out when I checked my Shop app at 0953 and the PO is 10 mins away.

Motherfuckers.

I feel ya. My last 2 packages that were sent to me, that I paid Priority Mail charges, finally came after 9-10 days after they were sent. They should have one way to ship and call it "eventually, maybe".

I get this sometimes. I've determined it's usually when "Bill" my normal carrier is off and a sub is covering his route and the package doesn't fit in my mailbox. Bill drives the 1/3 mile on down the road and sets it on my porch. The subs don't bother and take it back to the PO with a note "not able to deliver".

My slight USPS rant. I sometimes receive my water bill within a couple days of payment due and if the payment is late I get a $3 late charge on the next bill. I went in to talk with them and was told they're getting lots of complaints even though they mail them at least 12 days before being due, many say they often don't get the bills at all. This might explain why I didn't receive a power bill last year.

Grandson's birthday was April 30. On Tuesday morning April 28 I mailed a card from the post office here to him in neighboring northern VA, that afternoon I also ordered an iPad from Apple (with his name engraved) to ship directly to him. The iPad was delivered 1 1/2 days later on Thursday. As of yesterday (Friday) his card still hadn't arrived.

I've come to believe the whole postal system needs a task force appointed to study and reimagine just what we need from it then fundamental changes made. If it goes to 5 delivery days so be it, they can have Sundays and Wednesdays off. Get CEO's from Apple, Amazon, FedEx, etc. on the task force. Given all the electronic means of communicating now the idea of postmen moving paper letters or advertisements by hand from one address to another often far away just seems privative anyway.

Oh and to add; yesterday (Friday) afternoon I ordered two motorcycle tires from Rocky Mountain ATV and according to tracking they will be delivered by FedEx Home today. Amazing service and delivery from Apple and RM ATV!

I'll add to the rant. I ordered a set of grips off of Ebay and they were shipped USPS. You guessed it, lost, stolen, or thrown in the ditch.

Tracking shows they were delivered at midnight. Yea, right!

My addition: on a regular basis, my mail gets delivered to a neighbor. Names are different. Street is different. The only commonality is that his street number is similar (but not the same) as my street number. This occurs for envelopes as well as packages.

Pisses both me and my neighbor off. Once in awhile is okay (once or twice a year?). We all make mistakes. But this happens more frequently. And always the same house - not sure why.

A DIFFERENT kind of rant. Got the annual shopping bag in the mailbox today that USPS usually collects on the 2nd Saturday of May to distribute food to the needy. On one side of the bag is a printed reminder to shop UNION for the best service.

I shop for convenience and service - I don't check if they are union.

USPS is at it again Mad

I ordered a few parts for my truck last weekend. Easy parts to install this weekend.

Dealership in Phoenix area promptly shipped. Departed Phoenix hub Tuesday and arrived in Dallas hub Tuesday. I receive e-mailnotice that I should have it Friday.

Wednesday it departs Dallas and the mapless geniuses ship it to Amarillo (ie halfway back to Phoenix). USPS has semi trucks going daily on the 3.5 hour drive from Dallas to Houston, but for some reason ship it 5.5 hours the wrong direction to the much smaller city. Mad
