My wife has the rona again and I’m doing everything I can to stay away. Can I reliably disinfect the couch so she can take over the bed, or should I just go buy a cot?

I had the Rona last month and my wife did not get it even thou we slept in the same bed. It’s kinda a hit and miss strain that is going around.

My wife has it, I probably do, too. Interesting reading this thread and being a participant, I thought this was behind me.

While the health "care" industry continues to push its "vaccine" solution as The One True Way, evidence is mounting that the "vaccines" are not and never have been particularly safe or effective, and that the most effective defense against contracting Covid-19, and surviving it with minimal impact if you do, may well be robust health, which tends to lead to a robust natural immune system.

Eat well. Exercise regularly. Get sufficient sleep. Stay hydrated. If you smoke: Stop. If you drink alcohol to excess: Stop. If you're overweight: Get that weight down. If you're stressed: Try to eliminate those things that result in that stress.

Other than that: Keep your hands away from your face--particularly your nose, mouth, and eyes. Wash you hands frequently. Try to keep your distance from people who exhibit symptoms.

^all that and don’t lick the couch.

I’m fairly sure the minimum exposure for transmission is still being within 6 feet or less for 15 minutes or more to someone who has it badly enough to test positive.

Regular Lysol Disinfecting Spray inactivates COVID in 15 seconds. Link

Lots of Vitamin D. Like 10,000 iu per day. Take with K2 to help absorption.

Vitamin C and Zinc are good too (though Zinc gives me an upset stomach sometimes).

For most people the current variants are just a cold.

IIRC, Covid-19 has an exceedingly short half life on cloth surfaces? If the couch is leather or some non-cloth-y synthetic material, perhaps longer?

Either way: Not something I'd worry overmuch about.

6,000 IU of Vitamin D, 3,000 mg of Vitamin C, and 50 mg of Zinc per day was my Covid-19 prophylactic.

Caught Covid-19 once. Wasn't bad. Caught Covidflumonia a year or so later. Wasn't bad.

I've recently dropped the the D to 1,000 mg every-other-day, the C to 1,000 mg/day, and dropped the Zinc entirely.

Elderberry juice. 1 Tbs a day will keep the Rona away.

I’ve been pretty diligent about washing hands, mask to make sure I keep my hands away from my face etc. Last time I got this it was a rough time in the hospital. Then another 6 weeks at home with O2 tanks. The Mrs. decided to ride it out on the couch so I should be good.

Well the wife and I both came down with it on Friday 10-6. First time for both. She had it worse with 104 fever for several days. I only had a fever for a few hours 1 day. Worst part has been the dry, non productive cough.
Both still dealing with it.
We've both been taking 1000mg of Vitamin C, 50 mg of Zinc and 5000iu's of D3 for the last several years. Added 20Mg of Pepcid since we tested positive.

Just got diagnosed today with the Fauci flu. Never vaxxed. This is my 2nd time; 1st was in December 2021. Got the monoclonal antibody treatment the first time. This time I was prescribed azythromycin and some cough syrup. Like last time, symptoms are generally mild, some coughing, sinus congestion, low fever. I take calcium, magnesium, zinc with Vitamin D, and Vitamin C. I usually try to take elderberry pills as well, but recently I haven't been able to find a good supply locally. Both times, the doctors said my supplements helped to lessen the effects. Home away from work until Tuesday.

If you don't have any to pick wild locally, you can buy dried berries on Amazon. They're a little spendy (~$20/lb), but worth it IMO. Make your own syrup.

It’s endemic now just like the flu and the common cold, that’s how.
