| Although the thread has been ongoing for some time, there is a separate one for politics and people should know better, the title is not all that clear. It should have the words "non-political" or "no politics" added.

Are you referring to the picture with "Romney" crossed out on the bumper sticker? If so, I agree that it does not belong in the the meme thread, but on the other hand, you made a couple of references to the thread title. Unfortunately, the title does not indicate "no political stuff," nor does the original post in that thread. Yes, we should all know that parabellum has stated that political posts should not be made in non-political threads, but as egregore suggested, it would be a good idea to update the title of the thread in question, to specifically state "non-political." That might save a lot of grief.
