I have arthritis in BOTH Radial Joints in the wrists and BOTH thumbs. Once you have this condition your become quite thankful for a limp handshake, because a firm handshake is ALWAYS painful. Not sure why because I can apply a firm grip without any pain at all but being the receiver of a firm handshake is always painful. End result is I do my best to avoid shaking hands with anyone.
