I put the Agency 6 Recovery Hitch Shakle in my Amazon list like 2 years ago and it was $55. Last year it went up to like $69.
Now it is $119!!!!!!!!!
Great Googly Moogly!!!!!!! Some YouTube Douche Magoos must have made videos or something spiking its popularity. No way materials and manufacturing have spiked that much.

my first thought was tarriffs. It says its made in America but their aluminum might be sourced from Canada.

If you want something I wouldnt put off buying it as everything is going to continue to go up in price imho

I can't remember the specific automotive detailing product, but the OEM sold it direct on Amazon. They sold it at a reasonable price (i.e. comparable to competitors) but it was never in stock from their store. I'd get the camelcamelcamel good price notice in my inbox while I slept and by the time I'd wake up the OEM's normal price product would be out of stock. Of course, it'd be in stock at other Amazon "stores" for double the price.

A YouTuber finally figured out what was happening and did a video about it. Some asshat kept buying 100% of the OEM's inventory every time they made it available on Amazon and reselling on his Amazon store for 2x the cost of the OEM.

One of the flaws in the Amazon store concept.

Amazon sellers will ask ridiculously marked up prices knowing some poor suckers will pay it. Set a price alert and be patient.

A few months ago, I was shopping for the 144ft set of Govee Smart Outdoor String Lights. When I first checked the price, they were $156.00. A few days later, they were $190. These fluctuating prices were from the same seller. I set a price alert for the lowest price of $116. A couple of weeks later, I get a notification they were available for $116 so I purchased them.
