The problem is with the concept of "celebrity". We no longer have real heroes like Audie Murphy.
I suppose we should be glad that there are some celebrities who are at least football players and not soy boys.

The Kelce Bros. on cereal boxes and in BWW restaurant commercials are far preferable to whatshisface on Bud Light.

I don't buy anything or eat anywhere based on a celebrity in a commercial . Most of the time commercials get muted anyway .

And, three weeks later, we're still talking about the people we're tired of. Razz

An excellent solution.

I can promise that if General Mills wanted to pay me to hawk cereal, I'd take every nickel of that money I could get.

Imagine much of it is TS's having her agents push them in order to get as much as they can, at least while she and her beau are together.

Figure it's capitalistic, who wouldn't take advantage of that situation..

I don't go out of my way to ignore these two brothers because I really don't see them in my daily life, I barely know the name. I haven't watched NFL football in a decade, maybe longer, so I have no idea who is currently playing, except for Patrick Mahomes, and I only know him from local Nebraska Furniture TV commercials he and his wife did 7 years ago here in Texas.

Every day it's a new commercial with those two . And then there is Peyton Manning ...

In fairness, they do appear to be nice guys, refreshing in the midst of all these national anthem kneelers, wife beaters and other assholes. So they've got that little bit going for them.

He has had one sad story after the service. Alcoholism and untreated PTSD. It is amazing that many active duty serviceman have never heard of him. In contrast every marine knows Chesty Puller.

He's still famous in the Army's 3rd Infantry Division and will always be but he was never made into a cult-like figure like Puller was for the USMC in the greater Army.

Well, Audie did get a VA named after him. He was long gone when it opened and his widow showed up for the dedication. It was rather sad.
