Not stupid, inconsiderate. I'm trying to be more forgiving when behavior stems from less intelligence. I'm not smart but I'm blessed to know that I'm not and that there are those even less so if I assume I'm about average.

But I'm less forgiving still, despite the bible, of those that are just being inconsiderate unrelated to intelligence.

The lady going against traffic in a uni-directional parking lot lane.

The lady who blocked most of the display counter waiting for some special request, who couldn't just wait away from the counter. This prevented others from making their choices. (The display case for steaks and meats and price tags including what was on sale - no one could get close to the steaks to make their choices until this lady was finished). In fact, she was a little to the side of the case then moved to more of the center of the case as people tried to look - she moved to block more of the case.

The lady who just parks her cart in the middle of the aisle so that nobody can pass on either side while she's perusing and deciding.

None of this is unusual - happens everywhere. But I've just had my fill for today. Fucking people. I'm just gonna stay home the rest of the day.

That describes every single trip to get my groceries, every week, every month, every year.

Grab that cart and "relocate" it, man!
(Hope it's not got a squeaky wheel to give you away.) Wink

Perfect example of why I shop early. Food shopping? I'm done and home by 7:30AM. Most blithering idiots don't get up that early.

I hear you. Add to those the ones that run into you with their noses buried in there phones and the ones that make their selection and back up three paces without looking behind them.

If upon my passing I am doomed to hell, it will take the form of a grocery store. Probably Kroger.

They do it for the good feelz of asserting dominance over others. It is blatantly clear they are aware of what they do and they often step up their efforts when resistance isn’t firm. Speak up and ask them to move. They usually just act like they didn’t see the whole line people waiting and huffing.
I’m to the point that if there is more than two or three in an isle I skip it and return later.

You forgot to mention the six little old ladies, each with their own cart holding one item, following each other around at a snail's pace like they're drafting on a race course.

I would like to apologize to anyone I have *not* offended. Please be patient. I will get to you shortly.

The little old ladies I can forgive, good for them for getting out and about! The ones I see have to use a cart because the only other option is a small plastic carry basket and, unlike many younger people, the old ladies tend to stay on the correct side of the aisle. A group shopping trip is probably the highlight of their week.

It's the jagaloons that can be better mannered yet aren't that I take issue with. Either they believe they are the only person in the world and no guidelines or commonly accepted practices apply to them or, like others have posted, they do it on purpose.

Shopping early has been my preference for years, but in the cases where I go at more populated times I've not been shy about being voluble in asking an inconsiderate individual to shift their cart to allow me to pass, or I just bang it with my cart and force my way through and disregard their offended looks and comments.

What I can't stand, besides the other behaviors, is seeing children riding in the shopping carts. Not infants or toddlers, but ~8-12 years old or even more. Get out and walk!
