No taste, No flavor?

Tastes like bad carbonated water?

What say?

I haven't noticed any change in the flavor.

It has always been clearly inferior to Diet Dr. Pepper.

I always had better luck with non-Coke diet drinks because I don’t expect them to taste such a specific way. Diet root beer, Sprite and 7-Up are better to me. Diet fountain drinks all suck in my opinion.

Did it taste like dirt?

Could have been old can/bottle

Gets that way when the sweetener starts to turn.

It’s a bit more tolerable if you add enough alcohol.

Illness that affects ones taste can linger for months, and dramatically affect certain flavors. This could be the case here.

Diet Coke is only marginally better than TAB. It requires lots of ice and plenty of lemon to make it tolerable.

Coke Zero is infinitely better, but still pales in comparison to Diet Pepsi, which in a surprising juxtaposition with its Coke counterparts, is better than Pepsi Zero (unless you're talking about Cherry Pepsi Zero).

Diet Dr. Pepper is superior to the rest, since it's barely distinguishable from regular Dr. Pepper when properly chilled. I'd also put Diet Barq's in the superior category.

You can have your own opinion, of course, but mine are correct.

You’re aware, of course, that diet soda saps and impurifies all of our precious bodily fluids?

Taste is personal preference. That said, Diet Coke is my preferred zero calorie soda. It’s less sweet than most, and I don’t have a sweet tooth.

Coke Zero for the win, from a historical Diet Coke drinker for a couple decades before Zero came out.

Just don't be fooled as we were at first thinking Zero means no caffeine as well. That took a couple restless nights and an ah-HA moment! Roll Eyes

I don't understand the appeal of consuming such a chemical let alone enjoying the synthetic "taste" of it.
I'd just as soon drink dishwasher detergent.

I've never liked Diet Coke, can't stand it. Surprisingly, the caffeine-free diet version is actually drinkable. Zero is OK, too. But as others have said, the diet versions of Dr. Pepper, 7-Up / Sprite, and Barqs are infinitely better than those of either Coke or Pepsi.

If you're ditching calories but can't stand to live w/o soda I guess the diet drinks are your only option.

Myself, diet Coke always made me literally nauseated so I never delved any further into the genre.
