The barrel gets stuck around the safety lever while trying to put the slide back on.

Any ideas?

The top of the Safety lever should be almost flush with the top of the wide rear rail that the safety lever is sitting beside. You can remove some metal or "fit" the top of the safety lever if that is holding the slide off.
Does this pistol have the GrayGuns SRT safety lever?

If the bottom of the feed ramp is hitting the Locking insert, the hammer needs fitting. I have done that by putting the barrel in the slide only and hitting the large lug with bottom of a wooden hammer handle. It will go on after you beat it. Smile

Is your hammer handle made from the wood of the shady chinaberry tree?

Thanks for the reply. It has the factory safety lever.
