what are /were the different front /rear sight height for pistols and what did sig normally use distance wise for sighting in | ||

This subject has been discussed on the forum for years. There is not "the" answer. Search online for terms like Sig sight height numbers or similar. There are many good articles out there. Sight height is often related to caliber, not pistol. However, this is not 100%! It is best, if you need new sights, to (a)take advantage of the Sig Service Plan for new X-Ray sights along with the service (b)look up your specific pistol at the sight provider of your choice, and order appropriately. The forum cannot judge if your sights are correct or not, as there is too much variability. ------- Trying to simplify my life... | |||

The HiViz sights I bought for my 229 DAO are #8 front and rear as recommended by HiViz. Tom | |||

I only have one 9mm with 8/8 sights. The rest are 6/8 and 6/6 My legacy .40 229 has 8/10 My 220 has 8/8 Always use what's on the gun and not the general 8/8 for 9mm and 6/8 for .40 and .45 25 yard zero | |||
