Hello all, I first posted this in the Sig general discussion area by mistake. Sorry about that. I'm sure this has been discussed but any help is appreciated. My P232SL take down lever has rotated on the pin. I've disassembled the pistol and removed the lever assembly and plan to have it laser welded to eliminate the issue. I was curious if anyone here has done this and if it was successful. Thanks in advance Bruce

I haven't had that problem but have heard of it. I think I'd try cleaning a spot on the backside of the lever at the shaft, then zapping it with a TIG welder (turned way down!) - Another approach might be to drill a small hole on the backside at the intersection of the shaft and lever, then tap in a short length of welding rod with a tiny bit of retaining compound and cut of the excess off flush if you don't have a TIG welder handy.

I’ll just throw out another idea. Matrix Precision manufactures a very high quality replacement takedown lever for the classic P-series pistols (P220, P228, P229, P226). You could contact them and see if they would have any interest in manufacturing a replacement part for the P232. They are very customer oriented.
