I purchased an X5 in December, shot 6 or 7 matches with it and was having return to battery issues. Took it apart and noticed the ejector was bent upwards about 20 degrees. Sent back to SIG and they bent the ejector back into place and field tested it. Shot another match with it on Saturday and sure enough was having return to battery issues - literally caught it on my hat cam as it was happening.

I run the 17 round mags with Taylor Freelance plus 4s, dont load 21 plus 1, download my spare mags to 20.

I'm being told I am "slamming home" the reload and that is what is root cause. I'm finding it hard to believe a pistol designed for competition use would need to be babied during a reload while on the run. Literally that's what you do in USPSA...just doesn't make any sense to me.

What say you, design flaw, weak piece of steel in the FCU or no???? While I appreciate SIG handling the issue to bend it back, its not like I got a new FCU I could have bent it myself.
