| Somewhat related, a relative was showing me his Beretta 96 a number of years ago, 40 cal. The gun had issues if loading the magazine to full capacity. I don’t recall, I think it was a factory magazine.
As I remember, it seemed to ‘swell’ just a little.
Maybe I’m a wuss, never was bothered with underloading a magazine by a round or 2. Yes, I realize, in certain organized training programs one must load a prescribed number for the course.
It may even come down to a particular magazine. |

Yes, that's how I loaded it and the slide stripped #12 with no problem. |
