To remove a factory-mounted ROMEO2 sight from a P320 slide it’s necessary to first remove the protective shroud from the sight to allow access to the screws that attach the sight to the slide.

The shroud is held by two small T6 Torx screws that are evidently secured with some sort of thread locker. During an attempt yesterday the tip of a T6 screwdriver bit broke without budging the screw. It then occurred to me that I had a bottle of Bob Smith Industries UN-CURE™ “CA glue remover” that I’d never tried before. Put a drop on the head of each screw, waited a couple of minutes, and out they came with no great effort (and no broken T6 tip).

I don’t know how the stuff would work on other screws, but I’ll definitely be keeping it in mind for future projects.

Interesting. I’ll have to look up that product.
