Thank you. Certainly not what I expected from the 10th Circuit, but now it will be interesting to see what Colorado does (we have a three-day wait). The waiting period is one of the things that was blamed for the demise of our small town gun show because exhibiting dealers all come from elsewhere. Buy a gun here, but have to go to another part of the state three days later to pick it up—?

And I think this is significant because as I understand it, this refers to something that the Supreme Court established as a criterion for whether a law was justified. I would think that the “modern invention” issue would apply to things like magazine capacity limits which is something else we’re harassed with in Colorado.

We can only hope.

Yay! I don’t have to wait, since I have a carry permit, but it is still a ridiculous law. They’ll dig in their heels on this, so we’ll have to wait and see how far it goes.
