HJR0748-Resolution That Reaffirms TN as a Sanctuary State moves forward…..

HJR0748 was introduced on 2/02/2020. This Bill reaffirms that Tennessee is a sanctuary for the right of law-abiding citizens to keep and bear arms. Not only that, but it makes clear that the citizens of Virginia, and other states whose elected officials are violating their citizens’ constitutional rights, are welcome. Additionally, the proposed Bill states that Tennessee’s will NOT comply with extra-constitutional actions taken by ANY government or body that infringes on the right of the citizens of Tennessee to keep and bear arms. Finally, the Bill states that Tennessee recognizes that Law Enforcement, private citizens, the militia and the military have a responsibility to defend their liberties against enemies both foreign and domestic.

2020-02-19 – Placed on cal. Judiciary Committee for 2/26/2020
