The commie news network is beside itself with joy "this case represents a “watershed moment” for prosecutors seeking accountability for gun violence, Joey Jackson said. “We see them saying, ‘If you’re not going to fix the gun laws, well we’re going to prosecute under the existing laws,’” Jackson said." https://www.cnn.com/2026/03/04...ass-shooting-parents

I don't know what apparently possesses people to give guns to children whose elevators already don't go to the top. I'm guessing a misguided attempt to instill discipline, responsibility and safety-consciousness? Shooting sports can do that, but only if the foundation is there, i.e., the kid is already squared away to start with. This guy, if the account is correct, was a damned fool to do so. That said, although he does bear some responsibility, a full-blown murder conviction is excessive. Murder requires intent. Surely he didn't intend for his kid to go out and kill. What evidence supported this? This needs to be appealed. "The Almighty, He put some livin' things on this earth so a man can eat." - Festus Haggen, Gunsmoke

Agree with everything you said. I don't think the specifics of this case, whatever they may be, are the problem. It's that this tactic will now be used as another way to deprive gun owners of their rights.
