I'm selling a pistol that falls in the C&R category. Never done it before. I have heard it's a different process than selling modern arms. Is there an official checklist to CYA?

thanks

Not really any different at all.

A C&R license is just a specialized FFL. It allows the holder to directly receive Curio and Relic firearms at their home, rather than having to transfer them through a local gun shop. Curio & Relic guns are those that are 50+ years old, or who are less than 50 years old but have otherwise been certified by the ATF as having some sort of historical value. (The ATF publishes a list of these specific exceptions.)

So just like any handgun sold across state lines, your C&R pistol must be shipped to a FFL. That can be to a normal gun shop/pawn shop FFL, or since that handgun qualifies as a C&R it can also be sent to a C&R FFL.

Just like with any other handgun, you'll want to verify the FFL's address on their license, preferably by receiving a copy of their FFL. Then ship it to the address on the license, and enclose either a copy of your own FFL (if you have one) or a copy of your driver's license (if you don't have an FFL) in the shipping box.

When whatever FFL (gun store/pawn shop/C&R/etc.) receives it, they will then log it into their bound book using the info from your FFL or DL.

Note that this is based on the federal laws, and how it works in the majority of the country. There may be some specific locations in more restrictive (left-leaning) areas that have additional hoops to jump through for things like extra background checks or pistol purchase permits, even for C&R pistols.
