Just finished watching Nabbucco on PBS, have always liked the "slave song" but never heard the complete opera before. Really enjoyed it. They captioned the entire thing so that you could know what it was all about. Never knew it was a relegious piece. Guess the old saying "you are never too old to learn" really is true.

Say what you may about the politics of PBS, it is still about the only avenue to operatic and symphonic music to most of America.
