It was the dark of the moon
On the sixth of June,
And a Kenworth hauling logs
A cab-over Pete with a reefer on
And a Jimmy hauling hogs.
We was headed for bear on I-one-oh,
about a mile out of Shaky Town
and I says "Pig Pen this here's the
Rubber Duck, and I'm about to put
the hammer down"...

Trucking family....I grew up with this music.
When I drove with Dad, any one of these songs, heard late at night when the air had cooled and the turbo was really singing, would have our old Superliner Mack up against the governor in short order if you weren't diligent. Something about a banjo makes Diesel engines want to wind up.....

I miss that old trucker. Thanks for bringing back a flood of memories. And maybe a tear or two. Smile

Convoy
Wolf creek Pass
East Bound & Down
Roll on Big Mama
Six Days on the Road (Dave Dudley...NOT that Sawyer Brown remake)
The Girl on the Billboard
Diesel on my Tail

And if Red Sovine can't get you bleary eyed, something is wrong with you.
