Author - John Connolly: SJW?

I recently picked up randomly and read "The Wolf in Winter" by John Connolly. It's not great literature, though was mostly a fun read. Yet the social justice themes kept popping up throughout and did become a bit tiresome.

Are all his books "woke" or did I just get lucky?
