Bingo

This action they're taking won't prevent even one single death- not by guns alone, but by any means.

Utterly meaningless, except as posturing, virtue-signaling, and just a wee bit of a tantrum.

Thanks for the heads up on Full30.com. Got a brand new account. Watched Hicock45 and his LWRC 6.8. No more of that other site. Maybe I can get the youtube app off my phone.

I've got all my calendar entries off Google and moved over to iCloud.

Working on the contacts. There are about 300 of 'em. Doing 'em in batched by first letter of the Google contact data entry.

The Google calendar stuff I'll leave there for a year. The contacts I'll whack as soon as I get 'em all imported into iCloud.

Are they going to ban videos of people in fights, getting punched out, and doing stupid things like eating tide pods, etc?

The premise for going after Youtube as a class action brought by firearms enthusiasts has as its basis three key points:

1. The right to keep and bear arms is an acknowledged CIVIL RIGHT, one explicitly protected by the Second Amendment. This is a key element of the SCOTUS decisions in Heller and McDonald.

2. Youtube's denial of equal, non-discriminatory, uncensored, and unfettered access is interference with the exercise of CIVIL RIGHTS of millions of law-abiding firearms enthusiasts.

3. Multiple courts held that the state can fine and/or force a baker who has religious objections to homosexuality to bake a cake for a gay or lesbian couple. The reasoning is this was unacceptable interference with the couples' civil rights (a right not enumerated in the Constitution). The same then can be the basis for a class action lawsuit to require Youtube to host video content on firearms topics. Here the case is interference with an enumerated individual right, one applied to the states via the 14th amendment.

All we need is a wealthy patron to bankroll this suit, Alan Gura and crew to represent the class members, and a willingness to use scorched earth tactics.

Those statutes forbid discrimination in public accommodations, employment, on a forbidden basis, sex, religion, race, previous condition of servitude (hardly ever see that one anymore!).

The so called Bill of Rights restrains government from abridging, infringing, etc, not private citizens. No one can force the NY times to publish anything, but they cannot deny ads based on a prohibited category, presumably. Para can allow participation here on any basis he wants, for another example; the government can’t make him permit a topic, or a banned bozo, etc.

How can Youtube be forced to carry anything it does not wish to?

How is a cake bakery a public accommodation and a major venue for speech (YT) not?

As for the status of the Second Amendment as a civil right, the RKBA existed before the Amendment prevented government from infringing on it. I see this as no different than the gay couple having a right to have a cake from a particular bakery.

How would one go about building or supporting a true free-speech social media platform?

This is so much bigger than youtube and guns or reddit and gun deals. Reddit has been slowly killing off right leaning and conservative content for the past few years. Youtube has been demonitizing and censoring content for awhile now. Google has been editing search results and suggested searches to drive a political agenda at least since 2015. Facebook was instrumental in controlling the narrative over the last three election cycles. Bottom line: We cannot rely on any of the existing platforms for free dissemination of information.

How would one go about building an integrated series of products combining the functionality of youtube, google search engine, facebook, the anonymity of reddit, and an e-mail system into a single platform and then market it so that people actually migrate over to it and use it? That's what we need.

Thank you President Trump.

I just created a full30 account. Looks like a basic account won't let you upload videos. You need to send a request for that.

I hope I make the cut.

Does anyone know if the Full30 app is Chromecast enabled? That would make it much easier for watching videos on my TV.

Seems inrangetv has moved some content to pornhub, I did confirm this.

Not sure if they are testing the waters for PH monetize landscape or just making a point.

While I don't blush at PH content, I don't know if this is the proper direction for their content.

I understand the principle and business model.

Not convinced it will have the desired result.
