It looks like they are trying to pressure Amazon to discontinue hosting NRATV.

So these companies decided to piss on the shoes of 5 million+ organized NRA members at the behest of a few unorganized social media lackwits. Doesn't sound like a good business plan to me.

The lefties are planning to march on Washington to demand that guns disappear.

From the link posted by Dusty78:

On Friday morning, Enterprise Rent-A-Cars announced via Twitter that they would no longer honor discounts for NRA members.

That announcement followed a push from Leftists against companies with business relationships with the NRA:

The other Enterprise brands are National and Alamo.

It’s a typical tactic of the far-Left to push boycotts against advertisers who do business with conservatives. That tactic was originally popularized by Media Matters, the George Soros-funded, David Brock-led organization dedicated to forwarding Hillary Clinton’s political agenda; Media Matters astroturfed boycott campaigns against talk show hosts as well as the American Legislative Exchange Counsel for its connections with conservative businesses. Most recently, Leftists have led boycotts against the state of North Carolina for its state law guaranteeing separate bathrooms for men and women, and against Chick-Fil-A for its founder’s sin of supporting traditional marriage.

But this tactic is likely to backfire for both Enterprise and anti-gun political actors. Already, Twitter is filled with people pledging not to rent from Enterprise or its affiliates — including me:

I’m generally not an advocate of boycotts. I think we should separate politics from the business world as often as humanly possible. But if the Left is going to use this tactic in order to pressure businesses to disassociate from conservatives, conservatives will be forced to respond in kind.

None of this, of course, generates support for gun control. All it does is make both sides more intransigent. Which is the point. For the Left, good policy isn’t the aim. It’s the demonization of pro-gun conservatives that matters.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Yep, real effective strategy, lose business for NOTHING.

Yep... I don't care about any of the NRA discounts... I usually just find it annoying that they are pushing so much stuff that's not firearms related. Maybe they should do less of that anyway.

I actually didn't even know that they offered a discount for car rentals.

I get better discounts at National just by being an Emerald Club member.

MetLife, Symantec, Delta and United now folding to fascism:

https://www.foxbusiness.com/fe...mpanies-cutting-ties

------

Several companies are ending their ties to the National Rifle Association in the wake of last week’s massacre at a Florida high school that left 17 dead. Four major companies, Enterprise Holdings, First National Bank of Omaha, Symantec, and MetLife are among the first to call it quits after a #BoycottNRA hashtag started to pick up steam online late Thursday.

The NRA was initially mum on the event but later went on offense during an annual gathering of conservatives at the Conservative Political Action Conference outside Washington Thursday, igniting the boycott.

The gun rights group’s chief executive Wayne LaPierre openly criticized gun-control advocates and the media for its coverage of the shooting.

“They don’t care about our schoolchildren,” LaPierre said Thursday. “They want to make all of us less free,” adding that Democrats are pushing a “socialist” agenda to deprive gun owners of their weapons.

NRA losing partnerships: These companies are severing ties Opens a New Window.
Those comments, however, did not sit well with people who later took to Twitter urging companies to halt partnerships with the organization.

Here are the companies that have promptly responded to customers and severed their relationships with NRA.

Delta

The airline announced in a tweet on Saturday that it's reaching out to the NRA to end a contract for members to receive discounted rates through a group travel program. It also is requesting the gun rights advocacy group to remove its information from their website.

United

Shortly after Delta announced that it would sever its partnership with the NRA, United Airlines tweeted that it would no longer offer a discounted rate to the NRA's annual meeting. It also requested that their information be removed from the NRA's website.

First National Bank of Omaha

The Omaha bank was the first company to respond to the boycott. It tweeted that “customer feedback has caused us to review our relationship with the NRA. As a result, First National Bank of Omaha will not renew its contract with the National Rifle Association to issue the NRA Visa Card.”

Enterprise Holdings

The rental car company followed a few hours later on Thursday, tweeting “all three of our brands have ended the discount for NRA members. This change will be effective March 26. Thank you again for reaching out.”

Symantec Corporation

On Friday, the software company announced that it also has stopped its discount program with the National Rifle Association in a tweet.

MetLife

The insurer also announced on Friday that it would break off from the NRA. It released a statement on Twitter saying, “We value all our customers but have decided to end our discount program with the NRA.”

Ah, thank you. I looked at the linked article and saw this: "Shooting survivor Cameron Kasky, a junior, said the march would include a protest outside the White House in which unloaded AR-15 rifles, the weapon used by the Parkland gunman, would be destroyed."

So, the anti-gunners are planning to bring (unloaded) AR-15 rifles to DC? GREAT! They want gun control laws? Well, DC has gun control laws! I would like to see every one of them who brings an AR or any other firearm into DC for the protest, arrested, tried, found guilty, and sentenced to serve the maximum, with no chance of parole, no good behavior time.

Want to violate one of your precious anti-gun laws to make a point? Fine, how 'bout you set an example, show everybody what the penalty is. Dumb-ass bastages.

The liberals will pick on a big target like the NRA because it is one (if not the only) big organizations that help protect 2A. They will make noise to get attention. This is the reason why I think we should support the NRA. A year ago, I upgraded my membership from Annual to Life Member. If funds permit, I will surely send additional donation. This is insanity. Always blaming the gun for a crime committed by one person.

The gun represents the individual's liberty and freedom and means to defend against it being taken with ease.

The NRA represents all of those individuals who choose to be free and choose to prepare to defend that liberty.

The hate me.
They hate you.
The "gun" is in their way.
The NRA is a wall.

Build the wall very tall.

I am the NRA.

See, even the lefties are stimulating the gun buying economy after this. I'm sure that Everymoron or Ten Minutes to Wapner Giffords are buying them as a propaganda stunt in hopes that they will make their money back begging for denotations against the EVIL NRA.
