Yup.
Hey Roberts, if you really believe that there are no Obama judges, or Trump judges, or Clinton judges, just take a look at this colleague of yours. Like it or not, all you guys sitting on SCOTUS are political appointees. Period. Roll Eyes

A very frail woman in her 80s that falls and breaks 3 ribs, and shortly thereafter undergoes a thoracotomy and has a complete lobe of her lung removed is going to take a looooong time to recuperate, if at all!! RBG is a tough old bird, but this time age and illness(cancer) may well have just caught up to her.

It's not like she or anyone else needs to read the briefs or hear the arguments to know how she's going to vote. Her vote has been on autopilot her entire tenure.

OTOH, it's not as though she'll be asking questions during oral arguments, and it's tough to develop support among other justices for an opinion (or argue with opinions Ginsberg disagrees with) by email or phone calls. She's not out of the game, but she's not fully in the game either.

Trump WILL be nominating someone to the SC this year.

It's just a matter of when, not if.

I'm convinced of this as well.

I try really hard to not wish anyone ill. I’ll continue to hope (vainly, but a guy can hope) that she resigns. I look forward to hearing she is no longer on the Supreme Court, the sooner the better.

Maybe I'm just too jaded, but I don't believe Ruthie will be involved with any of these cases...at all. Her staff, acting as her proxy, will review, offer, and write any opinions that will be published as Ruthie's. She's not phoning it in. She's not involved at all, and that bothers me more than anything given the people publishing her opinions are nothing but paid staff. Hell, my bet is they've been doing this for her for years anyway while she's actually sitting at the dais.

I saw that trailer and thought, this above all else tells me ole Ruthie is hanging on by a thread and the leftists need to get this out there now to show everyone how and why its important that she's replaced with another justice just like her. Sorry, but no.

It's no coincidence they released that propagandamovie when they did, it's all about reassuring the sheeple that she's just fine when it looks like it's exactly opposite.

To be truthful, I had a vacancy in my list of our family’s “Celebrity Death Pool”this year...

And I added RBG. So there’s that, full transparency. I’m not saying I’m wishing she dies, but if she does, I get a point.

Huh..? Is she saying that Obama wouldn't have appointed a liberal enough justice to suit her?
How much more liberal, socialist, communist, anti-American does a president have to be to make her happy?
The Republicans have been a lot more willing to allow Dems their picks than they have been to the Republicans.
Like a lot of us, I believe she just wanted HRC to appoint her replacement.
I can only imagine her feelings on election night 2016 Razz
