You are here in America to be a part of America, not apart from America.

Some years ago I interviewed for a full time position at a college in the Bay Area, final interview was with the VP Academics, the Dean, and the Director of Diversity.

They asked "how do you promote diversity in the classroom". My answer was that I treat everyone equally, no favor or disfavor based on self-identity. Rather, I accept their self-identity, focus on what makes us alike, what brings us together, we are all here to learn business.

Wrong answer.

"Liberty lies in the hearts of men and women. When it dies there, no constitution, no law, no court can save it....While it lies there, it needs no constitution, no law, no court to save it"
