A couple of years ago, a woman boarded the plane hauling a decent sized carry-on and it appeared to me that she could use help getting it in the overhead bin. I said "Can I give you a hand?" She said "Yes." After helping her, I noticed she was missing her left hand below the wrist. Doh!
