Culvers and Five Guys is good burgers!
SmashBurger was expensive and overrated IMO.

Try to get a burger at Five Guys, that is not cooked to a dried out, incinerated piece of charcoal. It ain't gonna happen!

I tried to order "rare" -- I really want medium rare, but you always have to ask for rarer than you really want. Supervisor said "Law requires that we cook them to xxx degrees."

First, there is NO SUCH law. No federal law, and no state law in Florida. There are "recommendations" from government agencies, but no law. When challenged to cite exactly what law, paragraph number, etc., nobody was able to do so.

Second, how the hell do they cook to "xxx degrees?" There was not a thermometer in sight. I asked about that, they stonewalled me.

I would have left, but I was with some people who wanted to eat. OK, I ordered a hot dog, since I like hot dogs well done.

Five Guys has really, really, good fries, and the portions are very generous, I'll give them credit for that, but if you can't get a burger cooked the way you want it, I have to say that the burgers suck.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I love Red Robin. Never had a bad burger there in my life. As a matter of fact, they are so big that the wife and I split one when we eat there. The waiters have no problem with us splitting a plate and even give us our never ending fries.

The kids like Red Robin, so we end up there every so often. I like it. I've never had a bad guacamole burger there. Five Guys is my standard for fast food burgers (price/quality). There are a few local places that have killer $5 HH burger specials.

Never had a bad burger at the RRs I've eaten at in 3 states, but never had a great one either. The Royal Robin (the one with a fried egg on it) is my go to burger there.

The last time I lived in Houston, there was across the street from church so I wound up there at least once a month with church friends.

In Alaska, it was more or less the closest restaurant to the shooting range so my buddy and I would stop there on the way back from the range. Also, it was in the same plaza as the best movie theater in the area so usually wound up there before or after a movie.

I've never had an awful burger at RR, but not a great one either. I'm really picky and I just want the burger, well done, and PLAIN. And the plain part seems to be RR's downfall. I think they have screwed up my order the last 3 times I've gone. I don't mind onions on a burger, but anything like mayo, ketchup, and worst of all, mustard, it's garbage to me. Dog food at best. Best burger I've had lately was from a local place, next best was at Five Guys. Worst was at Wendy's, which I used to love. WTF happened to them? Overpriced burgers. $4.00 for a single? They've lost their minds. I can, and do go to Arby's and a sandwich is $2.98, and it's a lot better than a Wendy's burger. I haven't been to McDonalds in years, BK too. They have both lost their way, IMHO. Between the way McD's have changed, or IMO, ruined their fries, to the weird buns they use now (Nothing like the ones 40 years ago), they are dead to me now. BK making burgers from the microwave? Insane.

I would go to a RR in the late 80's with my wife to be and always loved the food. We have one now that I consider to be just as good as I remember. We go maybe 4 or 5 times a year. The service and quantity has been fantastic and amazingly some of the servers remember us. I'll keep going back.

Never been to a RR. Five Guys has the BEST burgers in town.

Been once to RR. No desire to go back.

Sure miss Fuddruckers. However, the All-world double cheeseburger at my local Village Inn keeps me happy.

Have tried it at other locations but it's not the same. At my local, the lettuce is crispy, the tomato firm, the onion sharp, the bun cushy, and the dressing fresh. It's also served with a long toothpick which is quite helpful in handing over the pickles to my wife and the onion rings to my daughter.

RR and Five Guys are the best chain burgers near me.

Around the Little Rock area the best Burger is at Davids Burgers. The meat is ground in the store, a number of choices and they even do chicken breasts. My gs orders a barn yard which is a 1/4 pound hamburger and a chicken breast with all the fixings. Good stuff!

Ours was good when they first opened. They have steadily progressed into "suck".

5 Guys just down the road from the house. Have to limit myself before I need a cardiologist. Bacon cheeseburger with mayo, lettuce and mushroom!

For a burger chain, I agree. I still find the local hole in the wall places the best.

We have a burger place in town. Three beautiful words when put together, Peanut butter, bacon, burger.

I'm a Purdue alumni, and on the main drag going from Lafayette into Purdue there is a diner on the hill call the XXX that has been there since 1929. They have a nationally famous burger named after Purdue all-american football player, Duane Purvis. First time I ever had peanut butter on a burger or cheeseburger was as a Purdue student and its delightful.

How much grease was on the floor? I make the mistake of going to ours once every year or two, right around the time when I forget I don't like going there. Every time there is a comical level of grease on the floor. You can ice skate on it, our toddlers think it is hilarious. Ever try peeing in a urinal while your feet slowly drift out from under you? Its odd. But I am sure they keep their kitchen much cleaner...

Been to one once.

The burger was OK, tolerable but nothing special.
I quickly figured out why they offered bottomless fries.
Couldn't even finish the ones they initially served with the order because they sucked.

Overall feeling was it was overpriced.

IMO, Culvers is MUCH better.

Ditto on the fries that suck. The only thing bottomless about them is the amount of time we must wait when the one RR fan at the table orders more.

The local RR also seems to be on the same labor plan as Ken-Taco-Hut: prison release.

They don't think it be like it is, but it do.

This. The food is edible, if that's all you're looking for go somewhere that is cheaper. The only positive I can think of is that I can get a drink with my burger.
