My father's watch and his father's Vest Pocket.

Beautiful family treasures ridewv. My dad had only one firearm in his 87 years; a Savage Arms Stevens 311 SxS 12 ga. that he bought for $64 @ Montgomery Ward in 1961. I still have it.

Thank you, Z06. Glad you have dad's shotgun and I hope you can pass it down some day. I think having something that belonged to a parent/grandparent is special.

My father also had a Colt .25 Automatic, Weatherby .22, Ithaca 20 gauge o/u, and an older Weatherby Mk V .257 Weatherby. I have all but the .257 Weatherby (he sold it while still living).

His father never owned a firearm as far as anyone knew but after he passed, my father was going through his things and found the little Vest Pocket in the back of a drawer.

My father collected watches and one time when both brothers-in-law and myself were at dad's (I think after Thanksgiving dinner) he called us into the den and gave both BIL's each a Rolex and me the watch pictured.

BTW that's a great image of your G43 and Casio watch!

And thank you ridewv, it is in the top 2 of my favorite ways to shoot guns. Quieter too. You are so right on the value of preserving special items. My daughter and my two grandsons will have a very nice selection.

Dad's gun. In the mid-late '80s I shortened the barrels to 18.25" and used it when I joined & shot in Single Action Shooting Society matches.

I have gun and knife pics, but no watch and gun pics. I'll have to remedy that!
