Just picked this up from Piper Custom. He did this Colt Custom Build for me. The grips are my "Starry Night" grips, although I'm sure that's not what Sarge from The Finer Grain calls them. I don't have my photo setup any more so these are just iPhone pictures after greasing it up for the range. I hope to take it out for a spin soon.

I really like the gold bead front sight. It picks up especially well in the AZ sun. I had Don Williams put those on two 1911's he built for me. We used plain black Heinie sights, front and rear, and once we determined the correct front sight height, he just drilled it and installed the gold bead (I believe he got the gold bead from SDM who make the S&W gold bead sights).

It is a Beauty and a Beast! Took it to the range for the first time today. Shot only the SIG Elite ammunition which is on the heavier side. Ran well, dead on accurate. This message has been edited. Last edited by: SIGWolf,

Very nice! "But, as luck would have it, he stood up. He caught that chunk of lead." Gunnery Sergeant Carlos Hathcock "If there's one thing this last week has taught me, it's better to have a gun and not need it than to need a gun and not have it." Clarence Worley
