The strap and dial sold me on this watch. It's a period correct Teju lizard strap. As far as I can tell this watch is all original. It came with a box. For all I know that too is original. But that strap. It's to die for. Elegant, yet rough. Thought my SF buds would dig it's vintage nature.

Very nice, and you are right that strap looks amazing. Love the rough texture.
It's kind of the cool "art shot" of the bunch. Sometimes you have to look for what you think looks good, even though it has no commercial value!

That is my very favorite shot out of the bunch; the rest of the photos are awesome, but I absolutely love this one.
Good work.

Just ordered a Seiko SBDC001 (Black Sumo) from Higuchi in Japan. Don't have the watch yet so I am going to post some pictures taken by my friend jbdan from the Watchuseek Watch Forum ...

Todays watch -- in honor of the previous Sumo -- Seiko Orange Monster Yobokies Mod Tons of mods on this, by far the coolest Seiko I've ever owned. I once had a 10:00 crown mod like the bottom pic, but decided that the 4:00 is a superior location for comfort and ease of adjustment.

That is quite possibly the best looking Monster I have seen.
Good taste!

I love my yobokies Monster mod (just like the one on the right).
I also have a stock Orange Monster on a 22mm Watchadoo.

Very nice. I considered a stepped band, but decided the 20mm was best with the ecru stitch. But on a bracelet, that's awesome.

I vote keep it , but only if you are going to let it see the light of day.
You're right, Matthew. I've changed my mind again and have decided (again) not to sell the Hamilton. I have, however, figured out what it is that drives me nuts about it -- it's an automatic. If I wear it all day every day, then all is well. Today, however, it bit me.
I got up and got ready to go to church, noticing by the clock on the wall that I had slept a bit later than I should have. I got moving, got my shower, got dressed, and grabbed the Hamilton. Oh, look! I've got plenty of time. Nice.
Downstairs, make some breakfast, clean up, glance at the clock on the microwave. It's 8:30? WTH?! Igotta go!! Look at the wrist, Hamilton says 8:05. Huh? Check the clock on the phone. 8:30. Fudge.
I love the watch, but now I see why my grandfather grouched so much about his Waltham. This, like his Waltham, will be my last automatic.
God bless America.

You could get a watch winder for it. I have a couple. I also see the irony of getting an automatic watch and needing an electric mechanism to keep it wound.

We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Not the greatest picture, but here's one of my two "nice" watches. Sinn 856 UTC. Picture taken 0808 local time, 10 August, 2012, somewhere in eastern Afghanistan (Ghazni province, if memory serves).
Don't have any good pictures of my other watch, a Blancpain Aqua Lung Hundred Hours Ultra Slim on the original bracelet, one of 1999 made. I should really take some decent photos of that thing. The three-barrel Piaget movement is a thing of beauty.
