I've been interested in the MoonSwatch, and I've heard both good and bad about them.

While these MoonSwatch watches clearly aren't Omegas and are IMHO overpriced, Mrs Pulicords just likes it for how it looks, wears, and feels. I even bought a few velcro straps by Delugs to dress it up a bit. My understanding is that the most common part of this watch that fails is the upper pusher for the chronograph feature, something she doubts she'll ever utilize anyway.

On the other hand, I gifted my grandson (who hasn't previously owned a watch), this Casio Reference MDV106 diver, AKA: the "DURO".

For a far more reasonable price (Amazon has these for about $63.00 now), he got a REAL diver that has a screwdown crown, 200 meters of water resistance, a great finish, a very usable bezel, and he loves the fit. It might even get him into the watch thing!

While I don't know how long Mrs Pulicords' plastic chrono will last, I believe this stainless steel diver (at far less cost) will serve my grandson much better, under far more harsh conditions, for a much longer period of time.

I bought a Casio MDV106 in, I think, 2017. I've had it down to 60 feet numerous times, and other than weak lume it has worked fine. I've replaced the strap once (It broke at one of the thin sections.), and replaced the battery twice. I think I paid $45 for it. I consider it the best deal in dive watches.

Pulli, I like the strap. Did you switch out the pins too?
Just like a “real” Moonwatch, toss different straps on it, and it totally changes the look of the watch. Dress it up with a leather strap, a NATO totally different look. Like I said, I’ve heard good and bad things about them. The color bleeding off, depending on the color was one of them.

A few years ago when the MoonSwatch came out, the Bride was looking at them.
Now she’s looking at an Omega DeVille and Raymond Weil…

The Casio-
A Tank. Beat that thing like a rented mule, and it’s still going to work. It’s going to last him for a long time.

I went with the 20mm Delcro straps from Delugs.com. The pins on the MoonSwatch were of the quick release type and those came with the straps from Delugs too. They're kinda expensive at $50.00 each, but my wife finds they're very comfortable and easy to adjust.

I hope she'll go with a "real" mechanical watch some day on her own, but I have purchased her a couple offerings by Studio Underdog and a real cool "Pan Am" travel/pilot type watch that Timex recently released under their "Waterbury" line. For under $400.00 (when they're in stock), it's a steal. Just check out the specs!!!

I'm a big fan of the "Aquaflex Rubber Deployment Clasp" straps by The Strap Tailor, and they're on sale until midnight for $106.00. They're very well made, durable, and super comfortable.

Tuns offers some very nice straps at reasonable prices:

My mom got me 3 of the Original Grain watches for my 40th.
2 are whiskey barrel & the 3rd is Realtree Camo. 1 of the Whiskey & the Realtree are chronograph, the 3rd is a plain face with the barrel stamp on the face. Woodgrain in the face, bezel & inlaid in the bracelet links.
Will get some pics up in a bit.

I like the classic look of the Omega Seamaster in 36mm but have a 7.5" wrist. Does anyone wear a 36mm with a large wrist and have pics? I have been debating on a few watches lately and am looking for opinions.

^^^^ Thanks. Did you have to remove any links or use the extender in order for it to fit on your wrist?

No but I didn't buy it new. It was my uncle's who left it to me. I think I have one link left if I needed it bigger.

Just shopping around for a new mesh band...

I'm just debating if the little Omega logo on the buckle is worth the extra $883.26!

Mr Stickman,
I believe it was you that was asking about a watch that tells the tides (surfing).

Granted, I've been punched in the head a lot, so I may be wrong, but take a look:
