Some really awesome watches in the last couple pages. I don’t have any new additions at this time, but something may be on the horizon…

The All Mesh Band 5... sounds like a group from the 60's.

Sweet!!! I also have a few interesting watches on my radar from brands I have not yet had the pleasure of owning yet. Smile

Just like VThoky my local enabler has a VERY tempting watch at the boutique on hold for me to check out. That boutique also recently became an authorized Doxa dealer so I have been trying to say away because of the damage that could have on my bank account. Big Grin

Stickman: Did you get the email from Strapcode featuring Hamilton’s Khaki Field with a blue face?

I can’t convince myself I like the green, but the blue is really sharp.

Yes, that blue is beautiful, but a little too busy on the face for me.

I will be posting up a review of Hamilton’s black and gold “Hollywood” inspired Pan Europe in a few days. Big Grin

I was able to get one NIB from a reputable vendor for almost 1/3 the MSRP!!!! Cool AND it comes with a black and gold NATO strap too!!

With a case shape similar to a DOXA Sub & Seiko Turtle I suppose it was only a matter of time…. Big Grin (I adore Hamilton for those of you who don’t already know this)

Here I was thinking this Garmin got me out of Automatic watches and damned if Hamilton didn’t pull me back into the fray…. Big Grin

I love the dial on the Hamilton Khaki, but it's just too small on my wrist. A few years ago I picked this up and like it. The price is right, it keeps good time and it has a great power reserve.

[vthoky, thinking quietly...] Maybe I shouldn't have sold my Hamilton. [/vthoky]

I still have my fathers original Hamilton Ventura. It needs a tune-up. I'm still debating on if I should grab a new one.

I saw a Ventura in the wild for the first time yesterday! What a COOL looking watch! Super unique case shape and aesthetic design.

If you’ve found a modern Hamilton that catches your fancy I say get it. Hamilton is a great watch company that offers considerable bang for your buck if you shop smart.

The Pan Europ I scooped up retails for $1200-1400 but can be had for $400-500 from vendors like Ashford when they run sales to clear out old inventory.

On the topic of sales….I went to my local boutique yesterday to check out their customer appreciation sale that had up to 30% off already discounted old stock.

I had the opportunity to get two Breitling watches both new but discounted past used prices due to being older, discontinued models that cannot be in the new case according to Breitling. I also passed on a used Grand Seiko GMT.

It was a tough call but I did finally acquire the king of all Seiko divers. Yeah my dumb ass passed on a Super Ocean Chronograph that would have been $900 extra.

The mighty SLA081J1 Marine Master Ti 60th anniversary was calling my name. These are all individually numbered. My MM falls in the mid 300’s out of only 600. While technically pre owned the watch is mint and in better shape than some new Ti watches in the boutique case. This watch was sold last month and then brought back and traded in towards a different watch.

These are NOT easy to find and would be a watch I very well could flip right now and make $1-2k profit. Eek

The use of highly polished stainless steel and titanium on the bracelet and with the case (Ti) and stainless steel bezel really adds a beautiful contrast. This is one of the most stunning watches I’ve ever seen from a materials and fit and finish perspective. It is just masterfully crafted. Notice the caseback says “Titanium + SS” in this case Seiko perfectly used the two materials.

I also scooped up a SPB509 60th anniversary edition with a very unique blue wave dial.

Seiko added a new micro adjust bracelet to this line that is pretty cool. Hopefully Seiko will sell that clasp because I would love to add it to another Seiko diver that has a similar bracelet.

Stick, congrats on the acquisition. The Diver GMT is quite beautiful. I really like the textured dial. It’s a great looking watch!
