The 50th Anniversary Jaws Seiko Turtle is kinda neat. I certainly don’t need any more turtles but I think I might get this one.

Well dang! Maybe I am not going to get one. They are going for $800-1000 on the fleabay.
It’ll be interesting to see how that price trends in about a year or so. I am not paying that kind of money for a JAWS turtle. That is Seiko Zimbe money without the wild aesthetic design and unique caseback engraving that line of watches possesses.

I like the movie Jaws, and I like the Seiko Turtles. But I’m gonna take a pass on this one.
And the EBay stuff- I guess the saying of “It’s worth what someone is willing to pay for it” is true. Then again, PT Barnum wasn’t wrong about “There’s a sucker born every minute” either.

A friend at work showed me pics today of a Rolex with a tiger eye face. I kinda like tiger eye, but I had a hard time liking that one. No matter… it’s got a price of over $100k.

For cheap summer watch fun I have been buying various mesh bands lately for several reasons: Cheaper than buying watches Changes the look so it’s almost like getting a different watch Fun waiting for same day or next day delivery from Amazon Last Saturday I found BISONSTRAP on the above mentioned delivery company and ordered a black PVD one for my Seamaster: It is flawless 316L SS, easy on & off foldover clasp,, super easy and quick length adjustmeant (no tools), and quick release spring bars. Comes in 4 finishes. $19.99 -Edited to add: I find the mesh bands to be more comfortable than either the original link band, the rubber straps, or even the fabric NATO bands.
