Nice. I seriously doubt that dial came out as well as depicted, but I might be wrong.
Rolex movements are nice to work on, well made and well engineered. The problem today is getting parts. Theirs has become a closed system with part generally available only to service centers and maybe a few repair shops.

stickman428Anyone else on Christopher Ward’s email list? If so did you snag anything in the early sale?
Link to Christopher Ward saleI pulled the trigger on something quite orange for my upcoming birthday.

eTripper Orange is always a good choice for summer wear.

stickman428That’s a neat looking Vostok. Orange watches tend to be quite polarizing.
Being that my first daily watch was a bright red G-Shock rescue I quite fancy the orange dial watches.
On the subject of orange dials….what do the Doxa fans here consider a good price for a Sub 1200T Professional? They seem to be listed for around $2k or higher on Chrono24, I wonder what they are selling at?

Green HighlanderNice pick up Stickman. I have the C60 Sapphire in blue. If anyone is looking for a diver, definitely check out the sale. Nice deals on the C60 Trident Pro 600. It's a great watch. Pro tip is to buy in GBP as you will save money and can come in under the threshold for customs duty.

stickman428I swore to myself I’d only buy a titanium, bronze or sterling silver case watch in 2023 but I’ve done gone and scooped up a neat stainless steel and orange sapphire summer watch with an orange sapphire dial and orange tinted display case-back.
I’ve got a lead on a Doxa Sub 1200T Professional for about 1/2 the prices listed on chrono24’s website.

eTripper Slowly getting back into single zulu-straps. This Blue Shark seems to jell with my Helm titanium.

eTripper The orange zulu seems to rock on the Helm Khuraburi too.

stickman428Those are some gorgeous Helm watches!
I’m a big fan of single pass NATO straps, especially on thicker watches such as Helm’s Komodo, Khuraburi & Chronograph Divers. The slightly lower center of gravity makes a noticeable difference on some watches.

stickman428Is that titanium? It’s a beautiful diver. I love the dial and generous use of tritium.
I came across this while looking at Seiko watches on Chrono24.
Quartz usually isn’t my thing but this one is solar quartz, titanium, blacked out and the dial is wild.

OaklaneETripper… that Deep Blue is a really beautiful piece, I have to quit looking at this thread..
July 09, 2023, 10:20 PM
eTripper Thanks, guys! The Deep Blue isn't a titanium-version, just their regular tritium diver. It is a nice example of a tooled dive watch though. That Astron rocks, stick.
The Phoibos Ocean Master made the cut today.

ShallowenufI LOVE this thread, I’ve learned so much.
I did finally broke down and got a Moonwatch. I’d been drooling over it for years and finally bit the bullet.

Well great. I sense a disturbance in the bank account….
So, the Deep Blue watches, are they a good, solid tool watch?
Like, you can shoot with it on, play golf, hammer fence posts in, dance an extra enthusiastic version of the chicken dance, all the stuff they say “ooooohhhhh, that will mess up an automatic watch”
Because everything I’m reading online seems to indicate they are a pretty good, heavy chunk of stainless steel with a NH 35 movement tucked inside. Which seems to indicate just about exactly what I really need.

CooksterI have the exact Helm watch as pictured directly above and slight ‘blemishes’ began to appear on the bezel which have progressively been getting worse and are now along the complete circumference of the bezel. I thought that the blemishes may be due to glue seepage.
I sent an e-mail to Helm with some pics to get a replacement bezel sent to me and received a prompt reply from Matt advising me to send the watch into the service center which I will do.
He thinks that the blemishes are due to this -
“We've occasionally seen this happen with sapphire bezels as the result of water damage, when moisture finds its way past the protective undercoating that's printed beneath the lume (on the underside of the sapphire insert). The moisture most likely found its way in during our overpressure test (probably due to a defect in the application of the printed undercoating ) and is now causing the lume to deteriorate.”
I really like the watch and appreciate the members of SIGforum for bringing this brand to my attention!
