I think I am now 100% a fan again of Omega watches again. My second Seamaster experience has been wonderful. This damn watch is pretty close to my idea of perfection. The size, way it feels on my wrist, the design, movement, overall aesthetics and fit and finish are all superb.

Even the diver extension clasp is growing on me. Like my Le Jour this bracelet is not easy to get on because of the relatively small clasp. With the easy to use diver extension I can give myself a lot of room to slide it over my wrist. I’ve considered upgrading it to the newer adjustable clasp but after a little time on the wrist I am not so sure it even needs the adjustable clasp.

In total agreement! Not saying I'll never buy another watch....I know I will, but I love my auto Seamaster!

ZO6, don't get me wrong, all in this thread truly enjoy "Watch Porn", and that's a nice Seamaster!

However.... Don't tease us with just > < that much of that Snubby! If that's the one I'm thinking of, there's a lot more beautiful, old school hand engraving on that gun!

I'm surprised "Roleks" didn't just completely replace the movement and damaged parts. polish it up, and send him a huge bill.

As for their service policies, they continuously express their opinion that their service policies are designed to support the reputation of quality. They claim that they cannot afford to have ratty "roleks" watch seen on peoples' wrists. Thus you are at their mercy for service. Do what we want or go somewhere else. They have restricted access to spare parts and while some watchmaker/clients can still get parts, they're gradually cutting them off.

Whataracket !!!

Thats a gorgeous Seamaster! The glossy black dial is even better looking in real life. I prefer the old style skeletonized hands like on Z06’s Omega. The newer 3 hand Seamasters have a slightly wider looking minute hand. The super thin lines of lume on the skeletonized hands is thicker and tapers at the end compared to the old hand design. It’s a very minimal change but you do notice it when you compare the latest Seamaster to its predecessor. The hands are one of the most recognizable features on the Seamaster so I suppose I am glad they didn’t alter it too much when they refreshed/redesigned the watch.

It’s the little details that some might not even notice that all add up to a superb watch. Sort of like the first time you handle a boutique brand 1911 you immediately notice the craftsmanship, fit and finish and superb attention to detail.

I really thought I would scoop up the silver/gray wavy dial with the blue bezel but then the black dial Professional Chronograph caught my eye and I began to compare it to the newer Chronograph.

That was a good one. But if I could undo any sale, it'd have been this one. Could probably buy a house for the amount this went up after I sold it. I lost money on it even when I sold it. Doh!

That one's nice too, but the Glashutte was near perfect.

That hurts to read. I got to "if I could undo" and winced. It got worse from there. Hey, at least you didn't lose a house worth of money on it.

YES SIR! That's it! Wink

Beautiful hand engraving on that gun. Unfortunately, it's another dying art form.

There's someone else on S/F... MM9MM maybe? Who has a rather nice collection of engraved guns. There's a Walther PPK that has some old world, deep engraving on it. Incredible craftsmanship!

Bringing this back to Watches; well, I'll leave this right here:

I know it was posted a couple hundred pages ago, but well worth watching again.

My Lucky day, I am expecting to get my Miyako from Helm in about a month or two #367. I was #4180 on the Kommodo and I get the letter today saying I won the lottery for the Kommodo, so I am thinking Orange. I have a Vanuatu and a White titanium Khuraburi, have not had an orange watch in a while.

Nothing special here. Just a Citizen in titanium. Wanted something a little less flashy than my Atomic Timekeeping models, but still Eco-Drive.

That's a great looking Citizen.
Gave my dad the Sternglas last night, he loved it. Huge thanks to Dave.

Nice. This one is the REAL Bond pattern (from Goldfinger). The black and grey is a recent pretender. ;-)

My Helm number has come up. A new watch is on the way.

Guess what watch and what configuration. There is no prize, just glory.
