Now THAT, is a First World Problem. ;-) Haha! Sweet watch. I like it!

I know haha. I never realized how light weight these things are. The case is made of carbon. Tritium still works Big Grin

I'll say. There haven't been many white-faced Speedies, to my knowledge.

I've been distracted with house nonsense and let the important things (watches) go unsaid. Humph... Food and shelter are SO boring.

Ok... admittedly, I was furniture shopping with my wife. But I snagged this pic to make it worthwhile. Splendid overcast day in Cleveburgh.

My humble entry:

The wife surprised me for Christmas. It has been years since I have worn a watch.

I tried on a Deep Sea today and I love the case but the tapered bracelet looks ridiculous on it. The made the lugs bigger why not widen the bracelet a bit?

That's a solid little number there. Classic.

The Air King is a beauty. That bezel looks great on it, and the dial is a nice rich color.

I considered a vintage Air King, but my wrists are big. An Air King looks a little small on me. A Datejust is about as small as looks right on me.

Can't agree more.

It's a model 14010M-the M for the distinctive "finely engine-turned wide bezel with raised hour-marks".

I used to own one of these-but had it ripped off(literally)in Buenos Aires-mine had a silver dial. Sadly, Rolex has discontinued the Air King.

agony
I don't think I've posted on this thread yet. It's been a loooooong time since I received a new watch. I've been stuck enjoying my Omegas and Seikos. However, I got an urge for a pilot's watch, and started looking. The ones I liked were way out of my price range but I picked up this little number for a little over a hundred bucks. Never owned an Orient before. The rotor is disconcertingly loud, but apparently it's normal for these. I dig it. In the future I'll finally own an IWC.

Thank you. The blue dial really made an impression on me in the store. I recall putting the Air King side by side with a blue dial Tag and there was no comparison in my eyes. My wrists are not especially beefy so this watch looks like a natural fit when worn.
