That Sinn is very nice.

I just noticed in this setup photo that you have a springbar tool like one of mine. Are you a watchmaker?
No...I wish I had those skills. I can change a battery, strap and have been known to remove a movement to get to the inside of a crystal.

Hickory ShampooNew Suunto Core All-Black. The stock strap was more comfortable than I thought it would be, but I couldn't get over the looks. So I replaced the strap with a Hirsch Extreme.

dkvMy seamaster.
Water got into the case, so I sent it off to be serviced. While it was there, I had the seconds hand and bezel swapped out. I like it even more.

How on earth did water get in the case of a Seamaster? (I'm guessing deterioration of the o-ring in the stem and lack of grease?)

I noticed the helium valve was open one day. I tightened it down and didn't give it another thought . . . until I noticed condensation under the crystal while I was playing with the kids in a pool.
I checked the HEV and found that it was "stuck" - couldn't open or close it.
I sent it away for service and the watchmaker found a bunch of hair wrapped around the base of the HEV. Long, blonde hairs. I think from sleeping with my watch on, left arm under my wife's head. They must have wrapped on, then prevented proper re-sealing of the HEV. He said he had never seen it before.
I told my wife I wasn't sleeping with her anymore. She did not think that was funny.

I got one of those last year, it's freaking huge but surprisingly comfortable to wear.
After 10 years of wearing the same dress watch I decided to make a change to this:

"deserves" ain't got nothin to do with it.

ParadisoI'll own a planet ocean someday. I was in the watch game a while back and had too many so I sold most off and bought a Seamaster professional. Couldn't be happier with it really, wear it 24/7. But the PO just has something about it that speaks to me.
