Freshen up, it’s been down longer than I anticipated. Like five years or so.

New paint, tires, LED lighting, new rear shocks. I’ve had this one since late 1998.

Nice shovel, Shovel.
Last of the cool bike engines.

I've been helping grandsons with their projects, Tacoma and a 335i.

I'll get some pictures together.

Grandson's Tacoma, we put on a led light bar and a 3" lift kit.
Ŵe also replaced the left front inner axle bearing.
The oem is a needle bearing and if it fails it will kill the front differential, so we replaced the bearing with an aftermarket solid bronze bushing.

The lift came with new front coil overs with extended upper control arms, and blocks with shocks for the rear.

Grumpy 50 year old British lady.
My little MG is a neverending project.

Current to-do:
-Fix the clutch: Lost it mid-drive, either something jostled loose, or the slave failed.

-Install the Facet fuel pump & hope that alleviates most of the hot running vaporlock issue.
With that, install a breather where the mechanical pump is and hope that eases crankcase pressure to reduce the small oil leak.

The Enemy's gate is down.

This is a busy weekend.

My daily driver Wrangler goes into the body shop this weekend for rust repair at the rear body corner and a respray of the hood and cowl panel.

The bike is sitting on tires. Need to wire the taillight, fabricate a muffler bracket, get a battery as its battery got moved to the lawn tractor when I first tore the Shovel down several years ago. Tractor battery died, figured the Harley’s battery was three years old and probably at the end of its life. Figured wrong, it’s been in the tractor since 2020!

My youngest driving grandson (17) 335i.
He bought this last fall with his own money saved from working.

Originally planned for some mods during Christmas break, but we had a delay with the new turbochargers.

We put on new RB turbos, inlets, outlets, huge intercooler, coils, plugs, charge pipe with a blow off valve, new valve cover, and catless downpipes with new exhaust.
My grandson figured seeing how the sub frame was out we should do the oil pan gasket and rod bearing.

The car is a 2010 BMW 335i with N54, M sport and ppk options, automatic 6 speed.

Getting a tune sent in the near future.

Changing out the entire steering column on my old Ford truck. Bought all the parts, just don't have the gumption to do it quite yet.

Well maybe Thursday or Friday I’ll get my Wrangler back from the body shop. Then I’ll mount the rear bumper and wire in the auxiliary backup lights in it.

The Harley’s battery arrived today. Mailed the application with the state for use of an authentic 1982 motorcycle license plate last Saturday. Spent a couple hours in the past week on it finishing up small things, all that is left is to wire the taillight and fabricate a muffler bracket.

I’ll be replacing some plastics, turn signals and getting it road worthy (and legal). Mechanically it’s sound but cosmetically it’s still got a little ways to go.

I wasn’t planning on getting one of these, I really wanted a Honda Monkey but one came available in my neighborhood for a damn good price.

Coming from riding a BMW R9T & Buell X1 Lightning this little thing is soooooooooo different and WAY more fun than you would think.
