Nice, you've got some good ones there. Tell me more about that Performance Center...what model is that? How's it shoot with the optic? I've never shot a revolver with a dot, and while I'll admit I usually like my wheelguns to stay kinda minimalist and traditional, that one looks like an ideal optic host. I like the way that mount interfaces with the contours of the top strap.

Just for fun, I've gotta guess (I'm particularly bad with Colts). Left to right:

686, 617, 627?, 640, .38 LCR, Colt Police Positive, Trooper, Python

How'd I do?

Oo lets play a game!

You got 4 of 8.

First person to get the make, model, and caliber correct on all wheelies, gets a very random prize I haven't come up with yet. You may guess again, but everyone gets one crack at it now that it's a game.

The PC is a new acquisition, haven't shot it. The optic is Holosun, always on in green. You can chose dot, circle, or circle dot. I will go dot or circle. It points naturally to find the reticle. The action and trigger rival the.. we all know that's a Python.

Ok, official guess (I'm still gonna suck with the Colts, lol).

Left to right:
1. S&W 610 10mm (I zoomed in and paid closer attention to detail!)
2. S&W 617 .22 LR
3. S&W 627 Performance Center V-Comp .357 Mag
4. S&W 640 .38 Special
5. Ruger LCR .327 Mag (hard to tell caliber...I'm guessing based on the cylinder flutes)
6. Colt Police Positive .38 Special
7. Colt Officer's Model .22 LR
8. Colt Python .357 Mag

I'm sure a couple of those are wrong. Looking forward to the results!

This is also a good reminder...I need to update my wheel of wheelguns photo, as I've added a couple since the last one.

The winner will get a grab bag of pins from this website: https://www.strikegently.co/

When you order enough, they send free random pins. If you guess and don't want, I'll karma the pins.

Because I'm not trying to break balls, we'll narrow the field:

1: S&W 610 10mm
2:
3: S&W 627 VC or PC is correct
4:
5: Ruger LCR (caliber)
6: Colt Police Positive (caliber)
7: Colt Officers (full title and caliber)
8: Colt Python, .357 '68

So 2,4,5,6, and 7 are up.

All down to the caliber on #6, I'll give you #7, but it's not a "mark" version, not stamped on the gun anyhow.

The police positive is in pretty good shape, wear like it was carried. It was inexpensive, worn but not beaten. I don't think they were made in too many calibers, but you can still buy ammo for it, and when I saw it wasn't .32, sign me up. You can find the caliber called two different things.

Colt's .38 NP is .38 S&W. Interesting because way back in history, Smith and Wesson was gearing up for calibers like .40 Short and Weak. I think there were only two, the .32 and the .38.

You can email me from my profile, or I'll karma the pins when they get here.
